Profile of Founder and Principal Consultant

Robert Thomas is the founder and principal consultant of SCIENTIFIC WRITING SOLUTIONS - a company specializing in technical  and scientific writing. He has a background as an analytical chemist who is exceptionally strong in the application of atomic and mass spectrometric analytical techniques for carrying out trace element determinations. His expertise is founded on 14 year’s experience as a metallurgical chemist in the iron and steel industry, together with 20 years experience in the Inorganic Product Group of the Perkin-Elmer Corporation (now PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences) - a leader in analytical laboratory equipment. He has a detailed knowledge of how analytical instrumentation is used to solve complex trace element problems and specifically a wealth of experience in the application, training, product development and marketing of atomic spectroscopic (AS) instrumental techniques. He is particularly proficient at writing about the applicability of AS instrumentation to solve real world problems found in the environmental, biomedical, geological and industrial application areas.
